FAQs

How many children are in a swimming class?

At Higgins Aquatics the maximum number of children in a class is 6. Please find more info related to group swimming lessons here.

Do I need to get in the water with my child?

No, from complete beginners up to our improver classes a teacher will be in the water. We also have assistants for duckling and improver 1 classes. Once progressed onto swim skills level teaching will be done from the poolside.

How long are your swimming lessons?

Each of our classes are 30 minutes long, this includes lessons during our crash courses.

How can payment be made?

Payments are made at the start of each term for the whole term and can be made either by BACS transfer, Cheque made payable to Higgins Aquatics or Cash.

Does my child have to wear a swimming hat and googles?

At both our pool locations it is compulsory that swimmers must wear a hat, we can provide these at a cost of £8 or you can bring your own.

Although it is not compulsory that swimmers wear googles, it is our recommendation that these are worn to allow our swimmers to see where they are going underwater and to prevent any pool chemicals irritating the delicate skin around their eyes.

Do you offer sibling discount?
