About us

Higgins Aquatics was founded by Seamus Higgins. Seamus has over 20 years’ experience as a swimming teacher/coach, working with non-swimmers all the way up to competitive squads with teams competing at county and national level.

At Higgins Aquatics we have a passion for teaching children to swim. All of our lessons are based on two things:

We feel the perfect age to start children in the water on their own is 4 years old. Our first task is to get the swimmers to enjoy the water safely and then develop their water skills. We run small classes with a max number of 6 swimmer and have helpers in the water with our non- swimmers. At Higgins Aquatics we pride ourselves in developing 4 good strokes as well as lots of different water skills.
